[ So after some shenanigans at some point in the fun-filled world of Zodion, Minato and Nanao end up making sweet, sweet boot-knocking. In the afterglow, the boy has propped himself up slightly against the pillows, feeling pleasantly warm and sweaty with an arm around the lady's shoulders while she rests against his side.

Now, to say something smooth. ]

{She just. Glares at him. And also sits up to glare down at him properly.}

That was good? Is that all?

{SHE IS REALLY OFFENDED OK.}

[ Well. It seems that he should've said more! Minato's eyes widen slightly, mouth opening-- to a grand total of nothing.

Okay. Think. That was...really good? ]

No...that was just the start.

[ Good. Buying some time. Truth be told, it was very good, even moreso that he got to hold her for those few moments before his mouth became distinctly sneaker-flavoured. ]

{Narrowing her eyes, but she lies back down and snuggles back up to him. Nyanao likes to cuddle~}

Who taught you pillow-talk, anyway? {...sweetie it's not like you're any better, honestly.}

[ Phew. He settles as well, looping his arm back around her shoulders. Zodion has taught him many things, and the joy of simple, gentle touching like this is probably even better than the sex in his book.

Even moreso when it's a hottie librarian. Nevertheless, he hangs his head a little, face hidden behind thick blue bangs. ]

{Casting her gaze over to his face, and then back up at the ceiling.}

Sorry to be the one who says it, but it kind of shows.

[She'd been instructed to see the headmaster if she wanted answers. And knowing that man, there could be only one place to find him.

There's a certain familiarity to it - his hair is still thick and curled as ever, and colorful as well. But he's much taller now, aged. It's not as visible from her vantage point, but there are wrinkles these days.

For now he doesn't seem to have noticed her presence, his full attention on the rose bushes of the school garden.]

{From behind him, she narrows her eyes. That mop of hair seems so darn familiar...}

Excuse me, Headmaster? I was informed that you may be able to help me with something.

{She just can't quite put her finger on it, there's something there, a certain presence that she remembers. It's driving her nuts.}

[ Entirely acceptable, in his opinion. His fingers have already began to wander, tracing idle patterns on her bare back. ]

I'll try harder, Ise-san.

[There's a quiet chuckle from him. He remembers a voice like that, from quite some time ago - well, only six years, really. But how much had passed in such little time...]

I'm told I can be very helpful on a number of things. Ahh, unless you're Misaki - at those times, I'm useless!

[Another laugh, this one much heartier. Finally, he turns to her, a gentle smile on his face.]

I'll look forward to it. {And she promptly shoves her face against his neck.}

{Nanao hasn't changed at all - not surprising, for an immortal Shinigami. But right now, the matter she was meant to be talking to him about has flown right out of her head.}

{That smile - it's bouncing around her head, she knows it, she does, but where is it from?!}

[ With her face safely unable to see his own, he allows himself a little quirk of a smile. ]

Then I'll do this until round two.

[ He had intended his visit to be a brief one, a simple afternoon tea with an old friend. Somewhere in there they'd lost track of time, and what had started as a bit of his gentle teasing about her choices in literature had since turned into Patrick reading aloud to Nanao from Jane Eyre. It was a welcome change of pace. ]

R-round two? {Although her voice is muffled by his skin, there's no mistaking the way her entire body tenses, muscles springing into sharp relief. You might want to be careful, Minato...}

What makes you think there's going to be a round two?

A hunch.

[ He stays almost frustratingly casual about it. His fingers stray lower, briefly moving over the swell of her behind before going up into more chaste regions. Just touching her like this would be more than enough, but after what they'd just done-- once couldn't be enough. ]

{She feels that butt touch, and she lifts her head enough to look him in the eyes, lightning sparking silently within her own.}

You're a cocky one, aren't you. {What's that, shifting against your groin? Oh, it's just Nanao's thigh. Which is still attached to her knee. Might want to be careful with what you say...}

It's not that.

[ Eep. He tries to stay calm, but that look...he's been around Yukari long enough to know tsundere danger signs. Minato backs up, hands going still in the small of her back. ]

I mean...I wouldn't want you to leave unsatisfied.

[regretter]

{She relaxes again, lightning fading away. Sleeping with Nanao seems to consist of a number of press x to not die events.}

Ah, I'm satisfied just lying here like this. {And she'll snuggle closer again, shifting so her head rests on his collarbone.} I've not had many opportunities to be close to another person through my life - not like this, in any case.

...mm. I know what you mean.

[ Ah, the joys of being alone and consistently abandoned by everyone! No wonder he's loath to stop holding her. ]

It's not really fair, is it...

{His heartbeat is so soothing, she could lie like this forever. (Or until she needed the bathroom, anyway.)}

Never is.

[ It's not exactly heartening, hearing that level of calm resignation from an 18 year old kid, he's sure. But with a little shrug, he finds things okay as they are; Minato just runs his fingers idly over her shoulder instead. ]

We'll make up for it.

[regretter]

{She gently presses a chaste kiss to his neck - no 18 year old should ever sound so resigned.}

We're doing pretty well so far, I think.

[arcanaeum]

Yeah.

[ He sighs softly, dipping his own head down to kiss along her skin as well.

Then, after a second's pause, going even lower. His head begins to dip under the covers, a tiny smile visible on his face. ]

We can do better, though.

[regretter]

Really. {She smiles, and shifts one of her legs so it's resting beside his hip. Tilting her head up, she kisses his jaw, then his lips.}
